Friends after a crazy 9 days straight of 18 hour US OPEN OF SURFING mayhem, what better way to unwind…. How about a 28 mile paddle around New York! I’m raising money for Autism and spring-boarding the launch of my non-profit Paddle With Purpose which just got approved officially as it’s own non-profit.
My mission statement for Paddle With Purpose is “Outreach: To empower people through the sport of Stand Up Paddling. Action: To raise funds and awareness for worthy causes and organizations”
The outreach portion of PWP will take various groups stand up paddling that may not have ever experienced the sport and empower them through their experience. Cancer warriors currently undergoing treatment, inner city kids, battered women & children, and individuals battling Cystic Fibrosis are just a few of the groups we will focus on. The Action portion of PWP’s mission statement will see not only myself but other individuals doing big paddles or small in an effort to raise money and awareness for a cause they want to support. This will be down through a template provided by PWP.com.
Please join in supporting me for my 28 mile paddle around Manhattan NYC this Friday Aug 13th as i raise funds and awareness for 8 different Autism organizations and the Surfers Environmental Alliance.
