“The effects of Thoracic Aortic Disease can be corrected when properly tested, diagnosed, and treated. The power of knowing your family history is so crucial when dealing with a disease like this. After loosing my good friend to a misdiagnosed Dissecting Aortic Aneurism i want to honor him by raising money for the continued research and awareness through tools like the “Ritter Rules” and by supporting amazing organizations such as the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, the John Ritter Research Program, and the Thoracic Aortic Disease Coalition. Amy Yasbeck and the John Ritter Foundation have played a pivotal role in helping families understand this disease and get the proper treatment. My goal would be to help raise money to give them the ability to bring on another genetic councilor to help families through the process, and ultimately save lives from unnecessary deaths.” Jodie Nelson, Founder, Paddle With Purpose
